TYC were appointed to bring an entirely new approach to bar & venue design in London. The Cafe Disko founder felt the current scene in the UK lacked a connection with ravers and required an ‘Berlin style’ approach.
From the outset, TYC have been incredibly helpful and complimentary to the development of my business. The design process was very collaborative and enjoyable and they have always gone the extra mile to support me.
How do you reanimate the underground electronic music scene with a real sense of community? Through design we were asked to create a harmonic atmosphere, supported by communication that stimulates a sense of belonging.
Our expertise in working with niche brands meant we knew how to tailor engagement to a narrow target demographic. Taking reference from the raw gritty Berlin underground scene, we injected recognisable and culturally relevant material into the environment.
The resulting space paired with purity of authentic analogue comms & promotion material, ensured a bespoke approach with a remarkable connection the nostalgic rave culture, that resonates with the audience for whom it's intended.
The re working of the brand helps express the underground values of the music genres the bar promotes, paired with our choice of materials and division of space. The result is a scheme that’s balanced for a cutting edge sonic experience equipped homely moments that together cultivate a cult following.
