Schroders, the world-class asset manager, has appointed TYC to add some food and beverage retail flair to the heart of the recently acquired Kings Mall, Hammersmith, West London.
Kings Mall is a 340,000 sq ft shopping centre with a range of retailers, eateries and coffee shops. It serves a large catchment area and enjoys substantial footfall. Crafting a welcoming, vibrant food hub to attract both customers and tenants was a key strategy to increasing the asset value.
Off the back of the extremely successful retail project with World Vision, TYC has been asked to help refine the strategy for the next phase of the The Story Shop.
Identifying locations, kiosk developments and leveraging merchandising opportunities will all play a part but the focus will be pushing The Story Shop forward and gaining real dominance for World Vision UK in the premium retail space.

TYC's design of #TheStoryShop, an immersive retail experience that has changed the sector of face-to-face fundraising, has won the prestigious Mall Retail award in the >1MM Sq Ft category at the 2016 BCSC Opal Awards.
The BCSC Opal Awards is the only UK award programme to recognise and reward commercialisation within retail environments. The aim of the BCSC Opal Awards is to promote the unique commercial brand opportunities that retail environments offer, by recognising and showcasing the best examples in the marketplace, encouraging further innovation and creativity.
On a recommendation, TYC have been appointed with reshaping the architecture of the Kings Mall, Hammersmith. Having recently acquired the asset, Schroder’s are keen to improve the F&B offer for the local community as part of the overall strategy.
