The brief

Following a number of successful tenders in partnership with TYC, Rail Gourmet asked us to support them in yet another tender, this time for First Great Western. With a tender value of circa. £18M we had to ensure that Rail Gourmet was positioned as the perfect partner for First Great Western.

The approach

With Rail Gourmet sourcing fresh food from local bakers, farmers and artisans the common theme of 'Making the difference' was sewn throughout the response to tender.

TYC drafted a beautifully designed executive summary to compliment the 900-page response document (drafted by the client). The tone of voice for the executive summary was down to earth, friendly and conversational whilst the visual style was designed to be reminiscent of a cookbook; the aim was to plant the idea that this partnership was a perfect recipe for success.

The 900-page response document was split in to three 'lots' and was art worked in order to bring it inline with the style of the executive summary.  A wooden crate was used as the presentation box and added the finishing touch to the artisan feel.

The outcome

A gorgeously crafted and designed response document to the First Great Western tender, positioning Rail Gourmet as an innovative company with a recipe for success. The best outcome of all is that our client won the full tender!
